Aiming to capture the essence of Max Roach, Tony Williams, Art Blakey and others, their selection of material moves through many diverse periods in Jazz history from Bop to Free-Jazz while adding a contemporary twist. The quartet will feature Andy Staples on bass, Nat Martin on Guitar, Rob Webb on Keyboards and Stu Roberts on drums. A fiery quartet with a diverse list of individual session credits ranging from Peter Appleyard (Benny Goodman Band) to Evelyn Glennie D.B.E , and almost everything inbetween! The Hard Drive will also be joined by outstanding vocalist Phoebe Gorry. Phoebe has shared the stage with Mobo nominee Trumpet player Abram Wilson and Outstanding jazz Vocalist Gwyneth Herbert. With a huge repertoire, Phoebe has toured with many acts in genres as diverse as jazz, soul, funk motown, rock and acoustic folk.
