GIORGIO SERCI Giorgio Serci was born in Sardinia and from the early age of thirteen started playing & teaching himself guitar.

He then studied classical guitar at the Nuova Accademia, and Jazz with the likes of John Scofield, John Surman & Tony Oxley in Ravenna, Italy.

He then studied at Goldsmith College in London where he gained a Post Graduate Certificate in Music Teaching and most recently a PGCE from the institute of Education, University of London.

Giorgio is a very talented composer and has arranged music for the city of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, & the BBC.

Giorgio has also played with and supported world renowned musicians such as Prince, Julian Lloyd Webber, Shirley Bassey, Andy Shepperd, Dr John, Ronu Majumdar, Vic Juris, & Harvie S. Giorgio will also be playing in the Jools Holland show at the Albert Hall.

Giorgio currently has three CDs in the public domain, the first “Lo Scenario”, is a collaboration with Simon Davies (both on guitar) The second, “Loch Ness”, features Bob Stukey on piano, and lastly “New York Sessions”, which is the first CD with Giorgio as band leader.

This is a wonderful mix of great guitar, double bass, sax & drums, evolving into a CD that shouldn't be missed.

Giorgio is a winner of the International jazz award Sant' Anna Arresi, Italy.
