The two circles represent interacting but complementary processes, the transformative space in the middle depicting the union of apparent opposites. Carlos Lopez-Real's "Mandorla" are an exciting electro acoustic band with an emphasis on lyrical melody, grooves that draw you in, and high level interaction between the improvisors. In recent years he has played with Gary Husband, Tom Arthurs' "Centripede", Justin Quinn's "Bakehouse", John Mayer's indo-jazz fusions, Nicholas Meier Group, Zoe Rahman, Roberto Pla and the Tito Puente Orchestra.
